To comply with bank requirements and prevent delays in deposits, all checks must be issued to West Central Initiative, with “Vergas Community Fund” and project name in your check’s memo field.
Credit card payments will list West Central Initiative as the merchant on your bill but by using this donation page, your donation will be given to the Vergas Community Fund.
Designating West Central Initiative as the payee ensures that the Internal Revenue Service recognizes your tax-deductible contribution.
*Please note: If the total funds needed for a project to commence are not raised, donations to that project will be transferred to the Vergas Community Fund account that most closely fits the project mission (ie. pickleball project donations will become unrestricted gifts to Vergas Trails, Parks and Recreation account).

In 2022, thanks to the incredible support of our region, we built four new pickleball courts in Vergas, MN– turning a shared dream into reality. We are deeply grateful to all who donated to make that possible. As we continue to improve the facility, we’re now raising funds for a concrete pad, sidewalk, and a sunshade structure to enhance the space for everyone.
