“I considered Morris, Minnesota, home for many years of my life. When I accepted the internship at West Central Initiative, I knew that my passion for creativity and marketing could be used to better my hometown community.”
Greta Hentges
Greta is joining the Communications Team as our Summer Communications Intern. She’ll focus her work on social media, content creation, and graphic design.

Greta is a sophomore at the University of North Dakota (UND), majoring in Marketing and minoring in Graphic Design and Leadership.
“As an undergraduate student, I value the chance to apply my education and begin my career exploration process,” said Greta. “Interning at West Central Initiative allows me to connect what I’ve learned in the classroom to real-world experience and make a difference in other people’s lives.”
Greta is also the Social Media and Marketing Director for Women in Business and the Online Media Director for Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority. She’s a member of the Business Leadership Club, Marketing Club, and Order of Omega.
During the school year, Greta works at a child care center.
“My experience as an arts and crafts connoisseur at daycare inspired my love for design,” Greta said. “My passion for creativity and digital media fueled my desire to bring my creative talents to the workplace. When deciding on a career path, I knew the opportunity to highlight my artistic vision was important.”
Greta’s creativity and appreciation for her community will be greatly appreciated at West Central Initiative.
“We’re thrilled to have Greta on our team this summer,” said Communications Specialist Ashley Quam. “Greta is a go-getter, and her graphic design and social media skills are a great addition to the team.”
